Achieving Net Zero

Our roadmap to Net Zero by 2050 is driven by targeted strategic initiatives:

Digital Transformation of Marketing Materials (Target: 2026): Transition from physical brochures to digital formats. This shift will significantly reduce our paper usage and waste.

Localising Supply Chain for Outer Packaging (Target: 2027): Transition outerbox packaging to local Australian manufacturers. This move will reduce emissions from transportation, support the local economy, and align with our goal to minimise global shipping emissions.

Enhancing Operational Energy Efficiency: We continuously invest in energy-saving technologies and optimise our manufacturing operations to reduce energy consumption, contributing to our broader Net Zero goals.

Sustainability Training for Employees: Recognising the importance of an informed and committed team, we will implement comprehensive sustainability training for our employees, fostering an environmentally conscious culture.

Community Engagement and Education: Actively engage with our community to spread awareness about sustainable practices.

FAQs

How does REMAKE use circular economy principles in its packaging?

At REMAKE, we see waste as a resource. Every bottle is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic, and our boxes are crafted from sugarcane pulp left over from juicing. These materials are already in circulation, so we’re not creating anything new. We’re simply giving existing resources a second life in beautiful, purposeful packaging that can be recycled again.

What makes sugarcane pulp packaging more sustainable than regular cardboard?

Sugarcane pulp is a byproduct that would normally be discarded or burned. Instead, we use it to create our compostable shipping boxes. It’s fast-growing, renewable, and requires less energy than virgin materials. Unlike many "eco" mailers that aren’t actually recyclable or compostable in Australia, our sugarcane pulp packaging breaks down naturally and is compostable or kerbside recyclable.

Why doesn’t REMAKE use virgin plastic or glass packaging?

Virgin plastic relies on fossil fuels and adds to landfill. Glass, while often seen as premium, is energy-intensive to make and ship, and it breaks. We chose recycled plastic because it’s light, durable, and already part of the waste stream. It helps us lower our carbon footprint without compromising on quality or function.

Is REMAKE packaging recyclable in Australia?

Yes and we’ve made it easy. Our bottles and boxes are fully kerbside recyclable across Australia. As for the finer components like pumps and sprays, while they can't go in your home recycling bin, they can be taken to designated collection points such as a TerraCycle drop-off. We’re actively working towards solutions that keep every part of our packaging in circulation, not landfill.

Is REMAKE Australian made?

Yes all of our skincare is made right here in Australia. Local production reduces the carbon footprint associated with transport, gives us greater visibility over our supply chain, and ensures high standards across ingredient sourcing, manufacturing, and labour. It also means we can support Australian businesses and keep our sustainability practices close to home.

The only exception is our reusable silicone face mask, which is made offshore due to the specialist manufacturing required. We chose a durable, high-quality supplier and continue to explore local options that meet both performance and sustainability benchmarks.

How does REMAKE avoid greenwashing in its sustainability claims?

We believe sustainability should be transparent, not trendy. While we don’t claim full traceability (yet), we’re upfront about where we’re at, and where we’re going. Our packaging is certified, our formulations are clean and minimalist, and our approach is rooted in circularity, not overconsumption.

We don’t rely on vague buzzwords or misleading labels. Instead, we share real information on sourcing, ingredients, and sustainability practices so you can make informed choices. We’re always working to do better, and we’ll never pretend otherwise.
